Are there any side effects?
Absolutely not! Baby Time™ is completely natural, uses no chemicals and does not interfere with the body’s natural processes.
What happens if I am already pregnant?
In most cases, the reading will show only a dotted picture.
How many times can I use Baby Time™?
Baby Time™ Fertility Tester is designed for unlimited number of tests and it’s reusable every day with long life replaceable battery. Buy it once and use it forever! There is nothing more that you have to purchase when buying Baby Time™.
If I leave my sample and look at it again later in the day, I get a different pattern. Which is correct?
The pattern that you see after approximately 10 minutes of drying time is the correct one. Any longer than 15 minutes may result in a contaminated and therefore inaccurate reading.
Can I sterilize my Baby Time™?
To clean it just use a soft, cloth such as a sunglasses cloth that won’t scratch the lens to ensure the lens and the slide are clean when you look through the viewfinder.
The light is not working or I need to change the batteries.
If the light suddenly stops working or only works at times please follow the instructions to adjust the batteries. If adjusting the batteries is not enough, you may need to change them. In the case of replacement, the batteries you will need are 2 x SR44 or AG13 batteries (available from your local pharmacy or a watch repairs shop).
My menstrual cycle is irregular… Can I use Baby Time™?
Yes. No one is more familiar with your monthly cycle than you are. Menstrual cycles average 28 days, but can be much shorter or longer. Baby Time™ can help you determine the time you are ovulating whether or not you are regular.
Can Baby Time™ be used as a contraceptive?
Baby Time™ is NOT intended for contraception.
Will breast-feeding affect my results?
Yes, if you are breast-feeding your results could be inaccurate. This is due to hormonal changes in your body.
Should I start using the Baby Time™ on Day 10 of my cycle?
We suggest using the Baby Time™ every day so that you become familiar with your body’s cycles. Many women are very surprised to discover that they do not ovulate exactly mid-month, some ovulate more than once a month, and some women do not ovulate every month. The easiest way to be sure is to use your Baby Time™ daily, and get a clear idea of when ovulation occurs for you.
I can’t see anything!
Be sure you are holding the Baby Time™ right up close to your eye. Depress the light button at the bottom of the cylinder, and rotate the eyepiece as necessary.
Is the pattern obvious?
Yes. If you are using the Baby Time™ every day, you will see the pattern gradually change. The formless dots or pebbles of the non-fertile stage will start to be joined by a few lines -this is the transitional phase. On the day of ovulation you will see a full-blown fern leaf pattern, which is very hard to miss.
How do I clean the lens?
We suggest waiting until the saliva is completely dry, then wiping the lens with a lint-free cloth. Your saliva dries into salts, which should be easily swiped from the lens. If you do get something on the lens that cannot be wiped off in this way, you can try a bit of Windex on a cloth.
How much saliva do I place on the lens?
Your saliva sample should fully cover the lens. The sample should be able to completely dry in 10-15 minutes. If it’s not, then you have used too much.
I see ferns all the time.
Constant ferning can occur if you have high oestrogen levels. This can occur as a result of medications, certain infections or pregnancy. Naturally high oestrogen levels will also produce an ongoing ferning pattern. Oestrogen levels can be tested by a doctor through a simple blood test in order to determine if they are abnormal.
